  4. Hi brothers, Your suggestions and ideas are highly appreciated. Cause no experience in using MH. What your good recommandation on MH for my 3x2x2 ft.(main) and sump 30x20x18 inches tank? Appro. about 450 liters. How many MH needed, what the wattage & KV? Understanded, if using MH, I need a chiller also. Which brand and how many horsepower you think enough to keep running for at least 10 hours of photosyn. daily and maintance temp. around 25 ~ 26 deg. C. Most importance what is the est. cost for both chiller and MH?
  5. Hi Charlie, Do you have a sump tank? Can try keeping alge or mangove with 22 hours of light. As I am keeping alge for the past 16 months, NO2/3 are under control. Cheers
  6. Yah good choice for those normal hard or soft coral (except SPS). My 3 x 2 x 2 ft. tank currently using self-made T5 39W HO with 4 x white and 1 blue all connected to electronics ballast doing extremely fine for bubble, hammer, mushroom, coco, tube, sea fan, star and yellow poly, tube anem coral with photo. for at mini 8 hrs. But remember to replaced the tube every 8 to 9 months. Check it on on Member tank & spec. section. (Not that great but reasonable). Happy reefing and Happy New Year. Cheers

  12. Hi, Sharing with you too, my sun coral.
  13. Hi Brother, First of all I would like to share that. AT setup this forum is to allow members to share, cultivate and encourage for more members to enhanced their hobby. I think nobody here to stop us from ' designing' or make for self used. Edmund don't own the patent right. Your objective is to share with members on your ideas to spent less on marine hobby. Moreover, you do not have the intention to sell. I personally feel that marine equipments price in Singapore is extremely expensive compare if you buy one in USA or Germany. So is a good news hearing members here to make and share their stuffs. I believe AT agree on this.
  14. Ok At, Hope you had received my contact numbers in my PM to you and trust your decision.
  15. Hi Cookiemunster, I already stated very clear it was my mistake while in a hurry did not check those fire fishes (already had whitespot) caught them myself and asked him to packed due to price is cheap. Then rush to my appointment. Yes I do agreed with you, no fish sold in LFS do guarantee fishes will survive once brought back. BUT NO S'PORE LFS SELL FISHES ALREADY DEVELOPED WITH WHITESPOT TO CUSTOMERS. I think you had misunderstand the point for buying cheap fishes from LFS. I am implying BE MORE CAREFUL WHEN BUYING EXTREMITY CHEAP FISHES. Otherwise, there is no reasons for any shop owners to sell extreme cheap for any fishes ( fire fish 1st for $5 2nd .. $4 normal price $10 to $12) they need to pay salaries, electrical bill, rental and so on. They are not running a charity organization. Yes I do agreed, with my experience, I should have quarantine fishes before introduce to main tank. During my first year, I did experienced common marine diseases like whitspot, oodinium, erosion, finrot, fungus and others. No website and consulttant to approached, only books and advised from Sam from SL. Everythings have to gone to reading and put to practised, try an error. What I emphasis to all reefers to be more carefully when buying live stocks and don't hope anyone here to purchased unhealthy fishes and caused more harmful and damage to mature tank and ended with death. I am not here to create war to anyone else, just do not want this history to repeat. Hope you can understand. Should you find any sentences are insulting or put AT into difficult position, I am sorry and please advised AT to erased them. I strongly believe you are here to cultivate more reefers with all the precious contribution and good advised in SRC you had written. Lastly, I hope SRC able to encourage more lasting and sucessful reefers and move to a higher level. Thank you guys for reading this message.
  16. Hi guys, How to consider PR is a good LFS? I'm with this hobby for more than 6 years. Current, with a 3ft. tank more that one year old. With 50% hard and soft cofts with more than 6 months, with fame, Kole tang, Naso Tang, purple fire fish and others fishes. PH 8.2, Ammo & NO2 zero, NO3 40 and calcium 420ppm, KH 8 and others. Water parmeter can consider at OK. My encounter with them as follows: 1) Brought 4 pink fire fishes, 1st $5.00 subs. $4.00. Was in a hurry going back office that afternoon (1 month ago). When introduce to my tank. WOW all fire fishes with white spot. How can they sell something like that, very irresponsible. It can say total not my fault. They know these fishes have whitespot should advised customers to placed in hospital tank. Deal to this incident, causing all the fishes mention above die three days later. Is also my mistake did not relised why are they selling so cheap where normal price at $10 to $12. Had learned this expensive lesson well. 2) My friend brought clear stock maxi.clam at $50.00. Which die three days later and his tank already running for 6 years which had 3 more maxi. clam in the same tank for more than half year brought from TXX. So how to you guys rate this??? 3) When their large stock of clam arrived which last shipment some time ago.Intend to buy two maxi. clams for $90 per pc, asked the boss for further discount since buyng two. His reply" How can I answer to my customer where just brought 10 pcs of the $90.00 clam". I think that is a very bad attitude to answer customer. Please consider this is a newly opening shop. Where need to draw more customers to sustained the business. Therefore beside given reasonable price and good service, good advised should provided ( not too sure do they have the experiences and knowledges to advise.). Lastly, my advised not to buy any extremely cheap live stock, unless ......

  18. Hi, Thank for reminding me about Watercircle, Mr. Tan SM is very helpful and supportive. Had seen him keeping baby CS before. Maybe can steal some `kung fu' from him. Since, so many interested parties of the CS, will update you guys when successful. Stay tune!!!
  19. Hey hey hey... Not for feeding OK. If they can survive through the stage, I don't mine given away. I am sure their parent are happy to see them grow, but no feeding please. Maybe two months later, contacting you guys for self collection. Hey Fuel, How long you been keeping pipefish? What you use to feed them?
  20. Hi Fuel, The phytoplankton are you referring to those green colors where water circle sell? If yes, just added about 10 mL. If 50% can survive, no problem giving you some.
