Fins clean, residue is black in colour, looks like plastic. Temp without chiller is 29 to 31. My setup is such a way that the cooled water is returned to the sump. Would returning it to the main tank help? I heard of an external sensor/thermometer to be connected to the chiller to get temp reading from main tank instead of water drawn from sump. Can you teach me how it is done? Thanks:)

Hi guys it's me again asking about chillers. I hope I'm not irritating anyone. I got a 2nd hand Resun cl650 chiller and it's kicking in every 10mins. Temp set at 28. Another prob is that the fan is making some noise and black residue found at the back of the chiller. Nonetheless, the chiller can cool down my tank quite efficiently. Can anyone advise on what to do? Thanks

Hi guys, i have a hailea HC150a 1/10hp chiller which is only 3 days old and still under warranty. I think it is too weak for my 3X2X2 tank. Would anyone like to swop a stronger chiller with mine?

It's brand new, only 3 days old. I will try a different feeder pump, how high is an ideal flow rate? Yes my tank is using with a sump.

Hi guys I've just bought a Hailea 150 chiller to cool down my 3 2 2 tank. Water is being "t-Ed" off my return pump which is rio 26hf. However, it takes 2 to 3hrs to lower temp from 28.5 to 27. Is it normal or is my chiller too small? If it's too small, is there any cost effective way to solve the problem? Thanks you guys.

I have a 3x2x2 main tank used with a sump and skimmer. Do I need to purchase a separate pump to draw out water from the sump to chiller? Where is the water from the chiller usually deposited? Main tank or sump? Do I still need to use my return pump in my sump? Most importantly how much will the increase in utility bill be in dollars. I hope you can help me with my questions. Thank you.
