  1. I guess your hobby will be more interesting and enjoyable if you tall the mentioned items yourself, and read about it through websites in the internet or by asking questions in this forum. It will be pointless if you just get someone to "inventory" or "evaluate" your tank for you. Notice that you are having NITRATE problem, you might like to looking or study into various ways of removing NITRATE. You might even need to invest on a denitrator. Else, the easier option is to make regular huge ater change.
  2. Sea pen is not poisonous, but if it dies, you will have a problem with your sand bed as you will find lots of "needles"...
  3. I have no idea, I have been keeping SPS such as Monti and Acropora(Don't know the right spelling) by using WEIPRO LF-95 150Watt Mh, for about coming to 1 year, but all corals still looks good and healthy, guess it really depends on your setup... Of cause, the high the better.
  4. I guess you are really wrong, during high-tide, water is really clear, think about it: If our water can support lots of corals, if certainly will and safe for use in our tank. I suggest you to collect your water from ECP if you really live near there, however, I got mine from Pasir Ris Beach.
  5. Must take note not to overfeed the animals.. keke.
  6. I always use natural sea water taken from our local beaches, corals are really nice and better then Synt. Salt mix. But cautions must be observed when using natural sea water. From what I know and information gathered, those water sold by LFS are from our shore as well.
  7. I think Underwater World will not be able to take them as there are already many...
  8. Anyway, no matter how "Best" your synthetic salt mix is, it will NEVER be comparable to natural sea water, well, it is just the way mother is.... You can judge by the package, it always says "Similar to sea water" and so on...
  9. I still strongly urge that you to collect your own sea water from secure places, best if you can have a boat of something to get to a distance from the shore to collect. Those LFS are all selling water taken from our main island. Some don't even bother to "filter and measure perimeters". All you have to take note is that it will only be best if you can collect seawater during incoming tide, preferably near to the peak-hightide time. Regarding stablity, you can just skim the water yourself or perform necessary testing. Well, it is the only way to be sure.
  10. All you design are based on overflow concept, so must as well make an overflow, as you need not concern about water "inbalance" at all...
  11. Don't press too hard. just feel it, if it is firm, it means that it is alive, try adding some liquid food for it as it is a filter feeder. Mine grow very well and multiply in my tank...
  12. You forgot to mention Thunderstorm which might happen tonight.. haha...

  16. My BEST advise is that you can simply forget about keeping this kind of fish, 'cause it don't usually feed in captive enviroment. Just quote Underwater World in Sentosa, do you see Moorish Idol in their "Big Enclosure" pool? I tried one and only one sometime ago, they really die of hunger...
  17. MH will be a better chose for your tank.. If you want your light to reach the sand at the bottom of the tank.
  18. For blaster worm fix, you need to update your windows xp, Please go to Windows Update to update your windows. Make sure that you windows is really up-to-date.
