  6. Maybe bcos got "Nice man and lady running the place. Very friendly people!"

    That why charges premium.

Anyway most LFS been to all had been friendly though.

Was quoted a Small LionFish for $15, LFS in the east was <$10.

Thought now at Farm cheaper but was very wrong!!

Sigh, how are they gonna stay in this business long term if they refuse to be competitive. Not everyday got newbies visit their farm.

  7. Decided to visit Ji reh today. Very convenient to go there!

Take the free shuttle bus from CCK mrt. Comes every 15mins. When you arrive at Qian hu, walk out and turn right about 50m walk.

Finger leather, Zoas, People Eaters, Hairy and super Shrooms, Pumping xenias.

Lots of nice Green BTAs and normal BTAs. Big LTA too!

LPS inside, Big elegance, Octo, red Prata, Green open brain, Green favia.

They also have super suns! Very tempted to buy the smallest one for 25.

    Not so much fishes.

Nice man and lady running the place. Very friendly people!

Ended up getting Finger leather, GBTA and super shroom :)

Are livestock prices still the same as before they moved?

  8. Despite the increase of freight cost, i am still very please with LCK. Do you agree with me? Currently, only lck bring in exotic fish and his price still very reasonable. Sometimes we must understand that, the cost of the fishes depend on the supplier side. If they remain the same price, then selling price can be the same, If they increase then the selling price need to be adjust.

yup, agree with LCK doing us a great service by bringing in exotic fishes. However, prices go up cos there are still people willing to pay large sums for livestock. As long as we are willing to pay up, i can assure you that there will be many more increases in freight charges in the future, regardless of petrol price

  9. LPS and zoos will change colour according to light one. dun worry its not dying. like the LFS and the sea and your tank lights are all different. the coral will adjust its colour to filter out which light it needs more or dun need.

if im not wrong, (please correct me if i am), it is turning green because ur light has too much "green spectrum" in it. as far as i know, white light has 7 colours of the rainbow. could be urs have too much green, and the prata is changing to green to reflect the green. (you see green because green is being reflected into ur eye). thats why the coral turns green to filter out excess green.

the logic is more or less correct according to science, but im not sure if it applies to corals =x

Thanks, all three of my pratas are turning green now, around the skirting too. But the green is quite nice. Maybe I should install red lights then.

  10. Depending on how big your cynarina is you can feed it bigger pieces of shrimp.

Place the shrimp at the centre of the coral.

Put something soft and light on top of the shrimp if it will be blown away by current

Wait for the feeding tentacles to grab the food before removing any objects holding the shrimp.

You will know what you are feeding is too big if the coral spits it out after attempting to swallow it.

Thanks, why din i think of that? Wonder what I can use to put on the shrimp

  11. These are recommendations only. Can still keep with mushies with proper spacing and husbandry.

Thanks guys, that website was very very useful. As for small bits of prawn, I really cant find the 'mouth ' of the cynarina. Donno where to place the prawn.

  12. Guys, I was just wondering if its better to leave the piece of prawn on the prata for it to swallow or stuff the prawn into its mouth. I find that leaving the prawn on the prata usually results in the prawn being pushed off by water flow.

  13. i used to have flying mushies in my tank and i din care much about them...they will find a good location and settle there! :D

BUT if you wanna propagate them ...what u can do.....i uses superglue..really...some reefers here will used others type and stick them on rocks.

But its up to ind, i do it during my previous tank....

    hope these helps! :D

Thanks bro, I just been told to stick a pin tru the yuma to keep it in place. Interesting idea

  14. i think loctite is the best so far, other superglue GEL will work too.. but if it detaches again, like what bro arcanehacker said, conditions really doesn't suit it..

Yup, realise that all my yumas detach cos flow was too strong. Never had this problem with my other mushrooms. Have moved them to other locations with low flow. Hope good enough  Just wondering what to feed them. Is light enough?
