    Restarting Tank

    Hi guys,

    I was originally thinking of giving up completely but have since changed my mind to restart the tank instead.

    Thinking of going bare bottom, any advice on what I should take note of? Should I get new LRs, because mine are all very small tiny chuncks.

    Any other advice will be welcome.

    Hi guys,

    My tank is in such a bad state that I've decided to restart the whole thing and change it to a bare bottom tank instead.

    As such with a heavy heart, I'll be selling whatever livestock I have now at a discounted price because their condition isn't ideal.

    Yellow Tang (with brown tail - very shy) - $15

    6 line wrasse - $5

    Dwarf Hermits (not sure how many) - $2 each

    Banded Starfish (might have 2pcs) - $5

    Hammer Coral (2 heads) - $5

    Cup Coral (2 pieces) - $5

    Normal Buttons (fist sized clump) - $5

    GSPs (fist sized clump) - $5

    Tounge Coral - $5

    Take all for $50

    Hoping that they will go to a good home so please only buy them if you can care for them properly.

    im using Nutrafin Aqua plus water conditioner....

    this brand quite popular lei..... cant be the main reason rite?

    is there any instant way now to hav my skimmer on?

    Yups, I think that's the on that causes the skimmer to go crazy... There's something inside it that somehow causes it...

    Bro,

    You put zoo and mushroom under 250w, the light may be too strong, especially when you change from 20k to 14k.

    If you doubt about your water, you can do progressive, but large portion of water change, eg. once a week of 30-40% water change for a few weeks.

    For your tank size, it shouldn't cost a bomb to do that.

    Yeah maybe i'll bring it back up to 20k.... I thought there isn't really such a thing as TOO much light...

    So far GSPs, cup coral, hammer, tounge, all ok, just the shrooms and zoos...
