well, probably looking at about 700 for everything, including the True clown and the purple Tang, there are 1 or 2 other fishes in there too... will throw in the live rocks too... and also all the spares that i might have eg light tubes, spare pumps, test kits, etc... by the way, i'm unable to catch the fishes without decoming the tank so some fellow guys can consolidate... Hi all, As mentioned, i'm gauging interest of parties interested in my tank setup. its been with me for about 1 over year. No time to take care of it, attached is the pic of startup and current state. There's a pair of true peculiar and a purple tang. Items included are, 2ft cube tank, cabinet, hood, geissman light set, solite mh, eheim pumps (return pump, pump to chiller, pump to skimmer), hydor wavemaker, etc (may have missed out some stuff). everything goes except for the chiller, deltec skimmer and FR as they are faulty (leak/cracks). yikes! should i play it safe and try to remove them from my tank?

Hi guys, I just added 2 sexy shrimp into my tank but was told by a fellow reefer that it is not advisable to do so as they may eat corals... I have Zoa, Sun coral, Bubble, Octopus and a hammer in my tank... Do i have to remove it? thanks!!

Most likely its fish poo... i see it on my sand bed, in between rocks... i've got a wave maker and quite a powerful return pump doing the circulation... i feed once a day, sometimes twice... is it normal? or is there something wrong with the placement of my wavemaker? Tested, ammonia, nitrate and nitride, all zero... poo is from the few tangs i've got, namely yellow, purple and blue... pls advise!

Looking for 3ft lighting... MH alone or MH & T5 set also can... pls PM me... thanks

Hello guys, I've just cycled my tank for 3 weeks with the help of live sand, managed to get 0 for Ammonia, nitrate and nitrate, PH is 8.1 and salinity is 1.021... lights 2 x T5 Actinic on for 6-7 hours a day. Despite all that, i've been noticing growth of some purple and green coloured hair algae, i thought is was Coraline algae for the purple one, but it doesn't look anything like it as its hairy... i also run a FR with sorb 4 in it. What can i do? Lower the hours for the lighting? Pls advise. Thanks!

does the bacteria grow according to the number of fishes in the tank of the amount of surface area you provide, eg biohomme, bioballs, coral chips, etc...

i've found another alternative... Aquabee 500L/H for the FR which takes 5 Watts Aquabee 1000L/H for the Skimmer which takes 10 Watts a total of 15 Watts as compared to my current: Dymax 800L/H for FR which takes 18 Watts Ehiem compact 1000L/H which takes 23 Watts its a saving of 26 Watts... which means lesser heat and lesser energy consumption, thus chiller works more efficiently and in turn takes lesser time to reach its desired temperature, WHICH also means saving of energy! At the end of the day, its only 26 watts... hahaha!

the longer you soak the easier it comes off... i put half vinegar and half water... after that just scrub it off, if its still stuck, means you gotta soak longer...
