Dear all, my tomato clown and squirrel fish had developed whitish spots on their bodies, faces and tails for about 2 weeks already. Please advise how to treat them and what causes these white spots? Are white spots life threatening to the fishes and do they spread to other fishes? I have another 4 chomis which seemed ok (ie, no whitish spots). Do I have to add some medication into the water? And where to get these medication and if possible, the names and costs. Thanks a million!

I've got a 2 feet tank and have a 1.5 inch boxing shrimp inside. I'd like to keep cleaner shrimps as well. So, I'm just wondering if it is possible for the 2 kinds of shrimps to co-exist peacefully? Also, I'll be keeping a very small Lion fish (abt 2 inches). Wonder if the Lion fish will have the boxing and cleaner shrimps as lunch? The boxing is more aggressive and can defend itself from the Lion fish, I guess. Please advise!!! Thanks a lot....

Yeah.... unbelievable! Got the Atmos 1 for that cheap! Hey, I don't know man... when I turned it on, the dive com display kept scrolling with all the no decompression times at 9m all the way to 48m! Is this normal? Read in the manual that it will activate when it goes down to a depth of 1.5m. Don't know how to use man! Anybody bought the Aeris Atmos 1 or 2? I think Atmos 2 is much easier to use cos' it's got 2 buttons unlike Atmos 1 with only one button. Also, there isn't any alarm on this one. Hey, I was there on Sat as well as on Sun. Maybe seen you reefers out there, but don't know who you are! AT, Kelstorm, Lona.... never met you guys, but could have seen you... Anyone here DM level already? I'm fighting to stay alive with the 400m swim in order to get the much needed 3 points! Pray hard.... this Sat.... die la....

Oceanic booth is full of people man... and you know what? They are mostly gals... queuing up to try the suits. Seems like Oceanic is suited more for women or women prefer Oceanic??? Hi guys... I'm getting a little confused... I heard from some divers that the volo is supposed to reduce drag and in the event of any strong currents, using it can reduce stress to the toes and ankle. So, the ultimate conclusion is... does volo helps in strong currents to prevent strain in finning (ie, fight like hell in current)? Thanks!

Yep! Just as I expected... vis is better at Dayang...

Guess Dayang & Aur will also be similar to Tioman.... Vis, I mean. I think Dayang's vis is always better than Tioman's, but in terms of marine life, the latter is preferred.

Is Vis really that bad currently? The monsoon' s just over and the dive season has just started. Guess the vis will pick up in April, hopefully, as I will be doing my internship soon...

Dear experienced divers, Actually, this is a duplicate tread I've posted in FiNS forum. I would like to have as much advise from fellow divers as possible. I read with interest from the FiNs forum (Issue of the day - Thailand dive scene impression....) about their discussion on the ugly diving scene in Thailand. My girlfriend and I will be going to Phuket on the last weekend of March. I've sent enquiries to many dive operators (at least 15 of them) asking them of the dive schedule as well as the price. We will be visiting: 1st day - Shark Point, King's Cruise wreck and Koh Doc Mai. How are these dive sites like? Visibility good at this time of the year? 2nd day - 2 dives at the Phi Phi Islands What about the Phi Phi dive sites? Anything particularly interesting there? As this will be our first trip to Phuket, we hope that we'll not experience what the earlier discussion on how bad the dive service providers were. Please give me some advise on the type of dive operators I should beware of and of course, the better ones. I don't know if I should state this here, but the dive shop I've contacted and am interested to dive with is KB Dive. Has anyone dive with them before? Their dive offers are really value for money. Thank you guys in advance.

I got a red feather starfish yesterday. The shopkeeper told us that it feeds on liquid food. Please advice what other kinds of food does it feeds on besides that. Also is it easy to keep such an animal in captivity? Does it pose any dangers to other tank inhabitants? Please advise?

Help Guys! I need your advise on this. Recently, my marine tank's got many tiny whitish bugs (at least about 100 of them) running up and down the insides of the glass panels of my tank. What are they and how can I kill them? When I switched on my fluorence light, they just disappeared. But when I switched the lights off, they came back. Also, my six line wrasse died suddenly in the eveing when I came back from work even though he's alright in the morning. I got the wrasse for only a week. My 4 clown fishes are doing fine and they are the oldest survivors. My other fishes, a golden travelly and a royal gamma also died after a week of introduction into the tank. My tank's up and running for 2 months already. Please advise! Thank you my potential saviours!
