I do very agree. If compressor unit spoiled, nobody wants to repair because compressor are all tight seal. Repairing compressor cost a bomb. If replace the compressor, it is not worth as it is the most expensive part in chillers, aircons,... If it is the fan, maybe you can open up your chiller to repair yourself. I did that several times. My friend's chiller fan was worn out so he has to modify. My chiller fan's bearing bushing was always dirty because the filter mesh is slightly damaged (has small holes). Perhaps you have the same case? Final advice, open up the chiller. If the compressor gives you sound, it means it is going to be damaged soon. You can start looking for a new chiller. You cannot differentiate with a bar fridge. Bar fridge compressor is so tiny and badly made. The bigger the compressor, the higher price it will jump. Nowadays if you monitor, nobody will replace the compressor for aircon or fridge when they failed. The will replace the whole equipment.

Yeah, I agree too. LCK always complaint rainy days no stock but even hot sunny days they have no stock. I gave up last year on seahorse because of this stock issue. When my seahorses gets live shrimp to eat too much times, they always starts to refuse on frozen mysis. Anyone found any other sources?

well, aipstasia will destroy other corals too if too late. why not peppermint shrimp? My peppermint wiped all aipstasia. Now they feed on fish food and not shy like my lousy coral banded shrimps.

actually every LFS has stable fishes. Fishes become unstable during transportation and new home or environment. Price is more important. Then secondly, check the fish status before buying, ignore the LFS staffs. Every LFS can tell you that they have the best and all that BS to make you buy. However there are 2 LFS I rated better in terms of sincerity than other LFS, they are ML and LCK110. Price wise is a bit more but sometimes these LFS makes me happy so I buy. I just dont like LFS over-bluff me which will make me walk away.

In Reuben case, live rocks are dead so he has to start cycling for a few months. no point adding prawn and this is the traditional way which no longer used. The dead things in his Rock will be acting more than your prawn. Everyone's case are different, depending on setup, things done, things in the tank, live rock status,...... If your Live rocks OK, just put one fish after 2-3 weeks cycling. Introduce slowly, one after few weeks.
