If the light set is light? The radion is 5kg on paper spec. So i guess it is light compare to mh.

So inserting a timber is actually the timber doing the support? The gypsum bd hole will collapse over time?
Butterfly serve the same purpose be it a metal spit opening type or white color spit opening type. Most people refer to the white plastic type.
The split will be insert after drilling a hole similar or smaller to the size of the head. Bend the split end and insert in thro hammering.
Once the whole plug insert, the split end will open and hold inside. This is good for hold on the side wall and not ceiling. Coz CG is directly down. The hole side is soft and might give way.
Even it will not drop, but your plug will be slightly been pull down .
Inserting timber is opening ur ceiling with a hand size allowance to insert a wood inside. Then u mount the screw from below and go thro the wood.
Since the wood is long, the whole support area is bigger. More stable . But hassle is u need to cover back the hole u create to insert the timber.

Drilling , hooking is my piece of cake.
Trust me, butterfly will confirm give way to hang the light fixture on a false ceiling.
Insert a timber as what other said.
Or mount a L backet on the concrete wall ..

canister will be a Nitrate factory if you didnt maintain.
No doubt some reefers have success with canister, but nobody know the story behind..
I or I should say WE strongly suggest u get a sump.
No worries for e wood, unless u splash water to wash your flooring. Get changai wood for long and stable run..
If your tank is small, take a look at my thread. with skimmer, fr , pumps, auto top up, reservoir , chiller pump,even refugium inside my sump.
Importance is design ur tank base on the type of equipment dimension u be getting. Get a powerful skimmer once and for all.

Beside 1ft, 2ft, 3ft, 4ft tanks...etc etc.
It is common to find a tank of 2.5ft in the open market(resell or really-made in LFS).
Or one have to custom made such tank? Dimension probably (2.5ft x 1ft x 1.5ft or 2.5ft x 1ft x 2ft).
Thickness of 10mm.
Think you have to custom make this funny configuration.
You might have problem finding 2.5 ft T5 if u running that. So u gotta get a 3ft one and protruding out.
If I'm not wrong, u r trying to tailor make ur tank to your house space.
1ft width is too narrow IMO .

Btw. I suspect your air pump motor need to increase the air out,Think the air driven is not enough.

Wood driven skimmer might not be so effective . Imho
Anyway can monitor for a while.
Assume you just start set up, let it cycled for a couple of weeks, before you add in any livestock
