  6. Need urgent help from expert reefers here. I recently bought a green torch coral and placed it into my tank, but i noticed that as the days go by, sections of the torch keep dying, until one day when i caught my small hermit crab nipping on the coral. I asked a reef shop about it and they told me that hermits with red legs are coral UNSAFE and those with blue legs are ok with corals. So i went back to check and guess what, it has blue stripes on its legs! Anyone can help on this? As i plan to buy more torch corals again soon. Thanks.
  7. All sold off to a nice fellow reefer. THanks.
  8. Last call for token amount of $10, any takers?
  9. no i've got 4 6W LED spotlights so i think it's pretty bright enough. I won't be placing that much corals cos i won't want this tank to be too high maintenance, prob more bright coloured LS. Currently i only plan to solely use an Algae Scrubber which is about 12" x 30" big, so i hope this will suffice to keep things under control. I'm trying to achieve a tank with the least maintenance and care, so i hoe that my plan will work out without any major hitches. For all fellow reefers who would like to know where i got my tank made from, it's by the very knowledgable and friendly Ms. Sim of Atlantic Glass, u can contact her at 6280-4447. Her tank prices are really very competitive and affordable after researching so many tank makers.
  10. All for $20 now, just want to quickly get rid of them.
  11. yup space was taken into consideration too, as i've left a 3-5 inch gap all around the rockscape including the back part for the fishes to swim around, plus i left a 'hole' in middle of the rockscape to allow more light to get in too. Anyway i've got 4 spotlights which are adjustable so there wont be any very 'shaded' spots on the rocks. Will be testing out my lighting today or tmr before i fill the tank, so any last minute changes are still possible. Thanks Fellow Reefers.
  12. Oh ok. Anyway if you are use the tap, you would still need to drill a small hole also, it's just that with acrylic, u can actually create threads with a hot screw and it will melt the plastic and create the threads, whereas a tap will actually cut the plastic to create the threads, but both ways are also do-able.
  13. I have some different nylon tubing that are used for industrial air lines and connections, if you can give me the OD and hole ID of the hose that u need as well as the length, i can try to get for u.
  14. Araldite will do the job very well, but stick to the rule of Less Is Best, too much and the bond will not be that good.
  15. bro, u can get an M3 sized tap from any good hardware store that sells screws and other such items. Either that or you can drill a slightly smaller hole, then heat up an M3 screw and slowly screw it into the hole, make sure that for every 1/2 turn, you reverse the screw 1/4 turn back as per tapping method, so that the screw doesn't ceaze in the hole.
