  1. Finally, hook up my viclite 250W MH box. I use sliding track that is similar to the one use for hanging curtain, but its slightly more heavy duty. As for the sliding hook, its mainly use for hanging picture frame type.
  2. I like the colour scheme, blue!!! Matches my Win XP colour too!!! Last but not list, my daughter's favourite colour.
  3. Hi Nutx, The thinkness of the rod is 3mm, I have 1 centre beam, as for the side, its make up of 2 rods(check my drain and return pipe picture on how it look like). According to my father , the weight distribution is on the 4 leg itself, as for centre beam, distance between beam should not be more than 1.5' apart. That's his theory not sure about that
  4. Agreed!!! Are you thinking of upgrading your return pump? Tunze ??? Hmmm....
  5. Thanks pal , Not only you, me too when i first use it for the first time really appreciate your concern On second thought, how often reefers do upgrading my previous 3ft tank lasted only 7 months and i tear it down for bigger tank. Maybe i will upgrade again in a few months time juzz kidding, but you never know...... Cheers The $10 sump tank that you sold me has become a water reservior for my TUBBY
  6. My drain pipe can still take some more flow. Bcos of the height(1.6M) to pump from sump to main tank, the Extrema flow rate greatly reduce, not forgetting there are 3 elbow also. Maybe 2 extrema become one only Initially, I thought of doing a durso, since I have no noise from the drain pipe, leave it for the time being Thought of using eggcrates to do a fencing on the overflow box. Will do that soon.
  7. Totally agreed with that 50 buck cube stand 3' x 3' x 3'. Well, When my father do the stand for me, I did ask for 2" thick square tube, but the end product, only 1 1/8"(I think). He say "trust me, sure can tahan one." What to do
  8. To answer your question: 1) No, no sound at all. I adjust the ball valve( hope that's what they call) so that water level is higher than the drain. This, eliminate small air bubble too. 2) Currently waiting for EAN Edmund to pass me the 14K Hamilton 250W bulb and together with Victron's black MH box and I'm ready to fire!! I will be hanging the MH box....Not sure whether will the light spread be enough, Hmmm 3) Currently on the the other 3ft I have some LS, should be transfer them over soon. So stay tune.....
  9. I got my LR from a fellow reefer here in SRC at $4/KG. I got 60Kg from him and added 20kg from my previous tank, so total 80Kg in tank and sump.
  10. Good eye sight Riot!!! YEs, they are my 2 Extrema return. A 2' x 1' tank has been place there for auto water top up (using TUBBY).
  11. A close up of the tank, euro bracing top and bottom.....
  12. Creating this thread to keep track, as well as to share the progress of my tank. I welcome any comment, thanks Here it is......
  13. me too My actinic light was place at the front portion of the tank, and i notice more growth at the front row LR compare to the back row. By the way, i'm using a 2ft tube which cost me $10, can't remember the brand, but give me good florecence result on my coral
  14. errr...pardon me, you have a "Louhan" fish in the marine tank?
  15. Thanks Weileong, I think that's what they call. Bubble tip anemone aka BTA. Was looking for a green type, any idea where can i get a healthy specimen? Thanks again.....
  16. As the topic suggest.... what temperature you guys keep your BTA at?
  17. Thanks for all the reply..... I'm very tempted to get one for my maroon clown, and yellow is my favorite colour too. Guess have to give up the idea, since its not natural.
