Bro weilong
Tank size 4x2x2 .
Net water volume should approx 100 gallon
Using the whole pack of zeovit for about 3-4 weeks already.
Dosing 4-6 drops of Zeobak for the first 14 days
Dosing 6-8 drop of Zeofood everyday. Reduce to 2 drops for the past 4 days.
Started dosing 2 drops of amino acid everyday for the past week.
Before using zeovit, there's no red slime. But there's some green cyno around. Nitrate are about 50ppm then. Lighting are on 8 hours daily.
Parameter of water are fine now. Red slime starting to cover rocks now.
Bro Untouchables
Ultraslime get from where? if stop dosing then red slime will come back??
Stop dosing the amino acid. Your tank has not reach stage 3, dosing of aminoacid concentrate now will cause the slime.

Big SPS shipment at the blue signboard today. Alot of tables and acros. Encrusting montis as well as pocci. Very nice colours as well.

Definitely go for eheim. Sicce pumps produces alot of heat from my experience. Not something you want running 24/7 in your tank.

3? any possible pair?
-
Cleidopus gloriamaris, pineapple fish?
-
Are they slimy? Do they trap bubbles? Do they form thick sheets on the sandbed? If so, you have cyanobacteria. Which is not calcareous by any means.
-
Can it have something to do with the flow? It was extending like this every night in my tank.
-
No probelm with SPS.
I believe they are changing color one after another. To adept , the change in MH K and change salt.
In past 4 weeks, I changed MH K' and 95% water change ( to change salt to TM ).
My SPS were turning from dark brown to light brown than to light pink ( most of them, some goes to milky white ). While they are changing color, NO Poly extension, after reach to Light Pink/Milky White than Poly start come out again. Most Poly are white while some blue some green.
So far I am happy with result from SPS, because most of them are come back from STN . So I believe what I had done should be quite alright, now problem with PO4.
milky white? You must be really good if this is not bleaching. Many of us cannot keep this colour.

2 cubes sounds like alot to feed. It would help if you gave us a list of how many fishes you keep and your total tank volume.
Most of us are not using that brand of phosphate absorber so i cannot comment on how good it is. Do you see a drop in phosphate readings after you change out the absorber?
letting the water age will not remove phosphate, it will not even remove chloramine.
Green colour mud is not enough. You should consider changing to a better skimmer.
Also, most hobbist testkit can only detect orthophosphate. So your actual phosphate readings is much much higher.Anything above 0.3 will seriously inhibit calcification.
-
I read somewhere that to reduce PO4, reduce Poto periods, feeding.... on RC if I am not worng.
I am not having any problem with SPS coloring, just want to reduce PO4 to below 0.5PPM.
So back to the track, how to reduce PO4.
That is to remove cyano if im not wrong. PO4 is introduced into the tank mainly through feeding and the decomposition of detritus. It has nothing to do with lighting periods. Some phosphate is also introduced into the system when you change water without any purification.
The main ways to reduce phosphate are to reduce feedings, use phosphate absorbers, and to use a better skimmer.

I thought its better to keep kh at 12 for keeping SPS??
I know im going to to flame for saying this... but there are studies done in Germany which shows that high kh is the one of the causes of RTN.
-
Orginal color was darker than current.
All polys are extending well.
No sign of STN , RTN.
Just matter of why PO4 is 1PPM.
Turn on light longer mean more PO4.
Turn on more light means more PO4? Thats odd, i've never heard of such a thing before.

However, personally I find exposed Tunze in a tank unsightly leh. Max I allow visible is Maxijet.
Yeah, i wanted to add that in but somehow it slipped my mind At that size, they are an eyesore.
-
I find that aiming the tunzes at each other at different ends of the tank will create a nice random wave. This way, theres no need to afraid of the tunze being too strong.

Eh if not wrong fairy wrasse is the general name for this group of reef safe wrasse.... Consist of the cirrilabhrus family, coniella family, paracheilinus family. pseudocheilinus and the pteragogus family.... falsher is a particular species of fairy wrasse
I don't think so... Fairy only refers to the cirrhilabrus family.
