  1. Hi guys, Need help/advise.... left the house this afternoon at 4pm and everything was fine. got home at about midnite and found my mandrian & clown on the floor they jumped out... but why??? notice the other fishes looking half dead.... took out my test kit to test the water (to understand what is wrong) Ammonia - 0mg/l Nitrite - 0.3mg/l Nitrate - 12.5mg/l I'm using Terta test kits and that all the test kits I have Tank size : 3ft x 1.5ft x 1.5ft What's in the tank : 1 yellow tank, 1 flame angle, 1 mandrian, 1 fire fish, 1 dotty back, 2 clowns, 1 blue damsel, 3 cleaner shrimp, 6 snails, 1 red star (all my LS are very small, most of them are less than 1 inch), 1 small Hammerhead, 2 Ricordes, 2 mushrooms, 1 fan, 2 sponge and 20kg of LRs and sand..... now my LS are in a bucket (freshly mix salt water) with an air pump. what should I do with the 150l of water in my tank? should i change all the water? or should i do 50% water change...i'm not even sure what's wrong with it... i really hope the rest of the fish can survive any advise would be much appreciated.....
  2. Need help, Bought 25kgs of LR from PR at Balestier last week. Very nice rocks (they said its imported from Fiji/Tonga or somewhere far away), covered with coraline alage. Its been in my new 3ft tank for a week now (tank is still cycling), notice that the coraline alage is "dropping off" bit by bit. What must I do to keep the coraline alage "alive"?? Is it something to do with the light? water? calcium? temp? I did a search but could not fine much info on coraline alage (alot on white stuff, smelly rock, etc.) Would appreciate advise from the pros. It would be such a waste if all the corline alage drops off, than its no different from the cheap $8 rocks.
