  1. Yup, is a super sun.

I have an injured super sun too that refused to open in friend's tank.

Now with me and I been feeding it every night in a container with either fish pellets or frozen mysis shrimps. First few days tempting it by putting food at the opening to it's mouth. Over abt 2 weeks, it open up now and eating quite an amount. Many buds started to grow around it now too!

Patience and care will pay off.

  2. Bro, your MHA probably won't see much of it as it working hard around the tank.

I looking for this fish but your location too far for me.

Keep it in yr tamk la. When your MHA see how clean it is due to this Benny, she will grow to like it!

  3. All enquiries replied.

    Some queries answered here:

This needlewheel is brand new and is used for ATMAN PH2500 pumps typically used in Bubble Magus NAC 6A and NAC (both skimmer use same pump).

This needlewheel impeller replaces the meshwheel impeller typical come with skimmer, which the mesh in meshwheel may need to be replaced after a period in use. Needlewheel impeller do not have this problem.

May fit other pump but is best you bring your pump to test before taking.

FCFS or non-refundable payment paid to reserve.

  4. I have a brand new, never used, needlewheel impella for use in Bubble Magus NAC6 and NAC7 skimmers' ATMAN PH2500 pump.

Not sure if it will fit other model of pumps but you are welcome to bring your pump to test and buy only if it works on your pump.

Only $25, collect in AMK. PM with your contact to deal anytime.

  5. Have a question re flow rate in a FR containing biopellets.

I have a Skimz Sidea FR (not sure volume but cylinder is 16 inches tall and 5 inches diameter). I put in about 250gm of biopellets and run via a 2000 L/H pump. The biopellets movement like volcano larva flowing, ie, smooth roll over each other and not bouncing up and down the chamber. Some 'dead spots' (though stirring very slowly) seemed to be at the bottom of the chamber.

Is the flow rate too low? What should be the flow rate or how should be the movement of the biopellets.

Is the volume of biopellets sufficient for my tank of 250 litres? Water was never cloudy after introducing the biopellets.

I am also using PO4 removal pellets in a separate filter bag in sump.

Kindly advise based on above what should I do to reduce PO4 further.

  6. Have to let go this very hardworking and cute Goby as I intent to go almost bare-bottom hence not much sand for this fella to have its fun.

Very effective in keeping sandbed clean. About 1.5 inches length, and very fun to watch it 'hop' around the tank minding its own business cleaning the sandbed.

    Only $10. Collect in AMK.

PM with your contact for fast deal.

  7. Thank you Reelfish for the informative discussion and info.

I gathered from the discussion and the linked info (good reading!), and I stand corrected, that the jury is still out on effectiveness of Iodine dosing as compared to Iodide dosing.

Any reefers can share exprience of Iodine's effectiveness if you are dosing it?

  8. I met a few reefers who keeps a permutations of SPS/LPS/ZOAS/Softies and some dose Iodine.

I read Iodine is used by such corals.

    My queries are:

    1. what does Iodine achieve for the corals ? Health, colours,....?

    2. Are those selling in pharmacies suitable for tank use (much cheaper at $5 a bottle)

My concern is that those selligin pharcies labelled Iodine as antisetic and posionous ifuse in excess.

Any reefers can share their experiences? Positively, neutral, or negative is fine.

  9. Have enough dried, dead LRs to scape a 2ft tank.

Various shape as well as branch-type to give away.

    All cleaned and dried!

Collection AMK blk 255 (near St Nicholas Girls School) by tmr night, else will go into bin by Monday morning.

If you can spare a little bit of chaeto will be much appreciated, if not, is ok to take dead LRs too.
