Hi... please help to ID this particular fish... I could not find a match from the many marine website I visited. Need to ID quickly cos it hasn't been eating... i need to know am i feeding it the wrong stuff... Been trying to get it to feed on pellet and frozen brime shrimp... no luck so far.. Worry that it is starving away... Pls help...

Hi... picked up a pair of wrasse this wkend... a yellowtail wrasse and a yellow coris wrasse... was told to feed them with brime shrimp... but after feeding them with frozen brime shrimp... my tank looks like a blood bath... food bits floating all over the place... rather messy... is there a 'cleaner' way to feed wrasses? i got a algae blenny 2 weeks back to help me clean up my algae problem.. this is one hardworking lawnmower... cos my tank looks almost algae free... now i feel guilty that the algae blenny is going hungry cos not much natural algae left for it to feed.... is it undue worry that the blenny will starve or is there something i can supplement its diet?? pls advise.

Thank you very much for valuable advise. Seems like the jury has made a decision... the Cleaner Shrimp is INNOCENT of clown fish murder.... Just got a pair of clown fish this morning from Ah Beng... like Oracle has mentioned.. I picked a pair of bigger clown fish... shld be more hardy. Will continue to monitor the water parameter... any tip to monitor illness in the water?? the last clown fish was swimming well before it end up dead in the morning.... strange?!?!? Hmmmm...... must call in the CSI team to investigate.

Hi folks, I woke up this morning to find the head of my last clown fish in the claws of my cleaner shrimp. This is the second clown fish in 2 weeks to end up in such state. Both clown fish were tiny ones (1/2 - 3/4 inch). Does anyone else have this 'problem'? Is the cleaner shrimp guilty fellow for wacking off my clown fish?? Water parameter seems fine. Just did a 20% water change on Sunday. Thinking of locking up the cleaner shrimp in a plastic container within the tank when i add in new stock of clown fish. Any advise. Many thanks! Megatron

Hi all, I'm having the same problem with my LR. My setup is a 24G Nano tank with 2 baby clownfish, 1 cleaner shrimp. No chiller, no skimmer. Noticed that my LR and live sand has turned yellowish brown in recent days. My sally lightfoot crab just kicked the bucket yesterday. I keep the lights on between 5pm to 10pm. Noticed a fair bit of bubbles rising from the LR. Did a 20% water change yesterday and cut down on the feeding. Any other ideas to improve the situation besides scrubbing the LR? Will try calling several LFS to check for algae blenny... Pls help. Thank you.

Hi all, I just started on this hobby with a basic 24G nano cube w/o chiller. Current fish stock includes 1 sally lightfoot crab, 1 cleaner shrimp and 2 small clown fish. Thinking of adding a single yellow tang but some books I read recommended not adding a yellow tang because they are highly territorial. Are yellow tangs aggressive? is it too early to add them in now? I do have other fish in mind to add e.g. goby and blenny. pls advise. many thanks!
