i need help. Bought 3 tubeworm last friday. Yesterday, one of the tubeworm's "head" drop off. Wonder y? The "body" still inside the tube cause i still can see it sometimes but the "head" is gone, i throw it away already. Will the tubeworm die after losing it's head or the head will grow back itself? I need advise on what to keep fro my 2ft tank. Plan to buy fishes and coral one by one and add them slowly. Tank cycled for 3-4 weeks with the following parameter/items 1. Ammonia = 0 2. NO2 = 0.2 or 2.0 (forget the value, somewhere at middle of the chart, at the lower side) 3. NO3 no tested yet. going to test tonite. 4. PH = 8.0-8.3 5. LR = 10++ KG 6. Water temp = 26-28C 7. Eheim canister 2222 8. Protein skimmer 9. Surface skimmer 10. 1 fan 11. 2 FL lights (1 white, 1 blue) I plan to keep the following 1. 1 clown fish 2. 1 royal gramma 3. 2 cleaner shrimp 4. 1 blue devil damsel Also, plan to keep some coral 1. 1 Mushrooms 2. 1 Polyps 3. 2 Tube worms Izzit too much livestock? If no, plase advise on what fish can i keep. prefered hardy fishes Also, the corals that i plan to keep do they need strong lights? Thank you.

I need advise on whether should i turn off my protein skimmer. My tank have an serious ammonia spike last week (90% livestock in the LRs died), so ppl advise me to turn on the protein skimmer to remove the extra protein and to save my LRs. Now my tank is "back to normal" and the ammonia is in control (low). My tank now is at the NO2 spike level so i just wondering should i turn off my protein skimmer now since the ammonia spike is over and most ppl did not turn off their protien skimmer during the cycle. Lastly, any idea how long will the NO2 process last? My ammonia drop within 1 week. So is the NO2 will drop within 1 week as well. Btw, my tank is 2ft with around 10KG LRs now.

Ya. i know it's good to put in more LRs. I just want know izzit the good timing to put in the LRs now (ammonia level okie, NO2 high) because i think after i put in LRs, the ammonia will go up again.

Just wondering izzit okie to put in more LRs into my tank during the cycle. Currently my ammonia level droped to acceptable level but NO2 is quite high (forget the value). Not tested the NO3 yet cause going to buy the test kit today. I alrady have 4 pieces of LRs in my 2ft tank and plan to add in another 2-3 LRs. Izzit okie i add them now or do i have to wait for few more days? If i have to wait, when is the best time for me to add in the LRs - (Untill all param at okie level?) Thanks.

It's cured LRs actually. Got an amonia spike last weekend, almost all the living things inside died . Now still in my cycle tank. Can it be cure by just leave it in my tank with filter and skimmer turned on? The tank smell super bad during the amonia spike and after 50% water change, it's getting better now. Worry the LRs cannot make it
