There are some worms n crabs in the LR that I bought. Aare they suppose to be good or bad?? cos i heard from my friend saying that a worm attacked his fishes n caused some to die...

What are the stuff u need to set up a simple quarantine tank?? is it necessary to quarantine LR n corals? And how long should the period be??? thks!!!

actually i think most of the buildings esp gov built ones are over engineered and can well tke the weight, unless there are shoddy workmanship and inferior msterials used. so i think a large tank is not a problem. I have a friend who has a 9ft billard table in his flat, which i think weights over 500kg, so i dun think that there is a problem with 7 ft tank and sump. it is only the cost of material and transporting it to yur place.

Hi guys, i am new to setting up a sw tank and had been reading the threads for the past few days which i find to be very informative but all alot to absorb. I had just set up my tank and had been just running the water thru the tank and sump to check for leaking and probs. I will probably be getting LR next week or so when the frame for my light arrive. I read in several threads about the DSB but never really get a full idea of what it is and what it does. Can someone kindly explain it to me or show me a thread that explains it. And also is that a thread that says about what to test for and look out for in a tank with LR but prior to introduction of fishes. I know there r tests for ammonia, nitrate and nitrite and PH, but are there anything else or a list that says something. I must apologise if the topics are repeated, but I had gone thru so many of them until i abit blur now. thanks a million!!!
