  1. Bro Giantbicycle;

Happy new year. The bulk head should not need to silicon out on the outside. If you just silicon on the inside will provide a very secure seal, but must cure for at least 24 hrs.

Hey bro, hows eveything? Happy New year too

Oh man, Dumb me , didnt think of it , So the problem lies with the placement of the silicon.

I will try that again, so since its the outside silicion that leaks, should isit better to leave it there or blade it off? (the outer silicon as seen in pic)

Learnt : Silicon on the inside

    : Cure for 72 hrs

    Thanks guys. :paiseh:

  2. Oh, ic, i cure it for just 6hrs... Yes bro, the bulkhead is the largest for my hole..

But the problem is that my thinking is , if there is a leak, u use silicon, the water will try to seap through the silicon and resulting in a pouch of water (something like blister on your fingers) and once there is a hole in the silicon , there it goes leaking again , isit true?

    Thanks dude :)

  3. Hey guys. :) I Have a rather complecated problem over here in my new tank.I have 2 holes drilled in the back of the tank and they are used for returns. The problem here is that one of the return via an ehiem 1264 is producing small rapid drips down from the bulkhead itself which is the screw-on type ( 1 in the inside, the other on the outside) . before i screw it on to the tank, i have added 2 rubber washers(1 in the inside, the other on the outside) and screwed tightly on , But the problem is that it still drips behind my tank. :pirate:

I've Tried silicon , it stopped for a day but started again today with slower drips. <_<

Any inputs solving my problem will be much apperciated

    Thankyou :peace:

  4. wow interesting .. so you stopped the return pump while fixing this ??

yes ... that's actually my point .. you have to ensure that the glass is totally clean before you attempt to silicon it :)

This is the AM teeth .. as you can see .. it doesn't raise the level any higher .. since the bottom is already sitting inside the slots on the overflow.. eh.. assuming you have them :paiseh:

Yes that starfish is still with me .. won't be nice without !!

1 hardy little bugger .. I got 1 linkia .. and long time never change rowaphos so PO4 went up 1ppm .. melted .. this guy still scooting around like nothing ..

okie, got it , so how does this work? 2 side clam together by magentic attraction or silicon?

Thanks Guys for the input :peace:

  5. bro, u finally got ur new tank????!!

i didnt get the tank today, maybe next week i guess. No hurry actually, busy with my work also. . . :D

did u manage to get ur eheim pump btw?

Yeap dude. :P And finally have the time to set it up. so yeah , all is up and running. :)

Reefing need not rush but to enjoy it :)

Yeah, I managed to get it and both my returns are powering by 2 eheims. :D They are solid..:thanks:

Sorry to jack in your thread, i will sart a new tank update thread soon

    Cheers bro :)

  6. I am hoping the tank will come today, if not latest by next week.

Eheim 1262 is 80 watts, 3600 litres/hr, which is very close to Resun MD40 (80 watts and 3800litres/hr.

    For every Eheim1262 i buy, i can get 3 Resun Md40. lol. . . :P

    tOday! :P wonderful..

icic, yeah, Price differ lots. but different technology too..More flow is good.

and wow, your 2 nano streams will be making lots of turbluance :)

On my side, i just started cycling today too :yeah:

  7. hi interested in this .. but need to know how is it controlled .. thanks!!!

Hi , first of all, u need a tunze controller pump , and this single controller lets u have the benefit of tunning the flow rate to your specific decision and its precise tunning, it can too control the pulsing rate, momentum of the speed, and there are 2 different power controls , meaning 2 different power intensitdy after the pulse. There is also a food timmer which is good for feeeding or when u need to tunze to be in standby mood for a while but not switching off the pump :yeah:
