  1. How much phytoplankton do you feed per day? Live or Instant Algae?

From my limited knowledge, you do not need light to culture rotifer unless you are using live phytoplankton. Just ensure that the water is slightly green at all times. Since you are keeping it at room temperature, did you do any water changes? The culture water is pretty dirty if you do not carry out water changes since the metabolism rate is high. It is recommended to harvest about 30% of the culture everyday to ensure optimum density and water quality.

It may be a typo but specific gravity of 1.17 is too high but 1.017 is fine :friends:

  2. What conditions was the specimen in before you brought it into your setup?

No/low/high lighting may very well affect the tentacles length.

I once had a S. gigantea that had S. haddoni tentacles length but regained its actual length after proper lighting was given.

My guess is with proper care and lighting, the actual tentacles may just pop up again :)

  3. Hi izzat,

I bought my Thiellei from CF, price wise i cant disclose for some reasons so dun bother to pm me. But wat i heard is market price for thiellei here is slightly higher than leucs and leucs is $450 each at CF. I'm not a clownfish expert so with the advice from Fuel i got a snowflake to pair up w the thiellei and the pair is now sitting in my sump. Attached are some pics of the thiellei, pardon the poor quality as my cam v lousy and clownfish move so much tat it's so hard to take clear pics.

Thanks! Indeed it's a nice specimen. Hopefully, it will pair up with the snowflake :friends:

  4. Good thing is I managed to save around 3 black ocellaris, 17 percula clowns. I learnt that clownfish are really tough things. They were half dead in 1.005 s.g, I put them straight into 1.020+ s.g seawater in like few seconds and after an hour all are behaving normally and even feeding. They did'nt die from sudden salinity shock surprisingly.

It's interesting that the babies did not die from salinity shock.

What are their age and what salinity were they in before the incident happened?
