Need recommendations for protein skimmer

Hi reefers,

Mine is a 3x2x2 tank with sump setup.

LS includes fishes and corals (mushrooms, ric, yuma, zoas, hammer, sea fan, goniopora and blasto).

Feeding is twice a day.

Currently using BM-NAC3.

I have intentions to upgrade a bigger sump to over-skim my setup to remove excess nutrients.

Appreciate any advice on the alternative option.

Based on an estimated total volume of 460+ liters after your sump upgrade, you can go for either NAC6 or NAC7(to over-skim) or other brands of equivalent size.

Sorry, I don not have sufficient experience with out-sump models to give recommendation. However, I notice Deltec is a popular brand for out-sump choice in the forum. I guess water leakage is an important consideration for out-sump placement.

Prefer in Sump, scared leak.

NAC7 is a popular model, but do note the wattage.

Can try skimz or reef octopus, give a chance to newer brands/models for skimmer.
