How to clear air pocket in canister tubing?

Recommended Posts

Just did a wet run with canister 2217(without any media) and skimmer.

Everything is okay except for the canister tubing. Both inlet and outflow tubing have air in it and the water is only trickling out at the outflow.

Could someone advise me on how I could force it out or how I could do better?

Thanks.

i m using 2217 for my 2ft species tank too...

u can solve it by shaking ur canister abit after u switch on..

are u using new wools?... it take afew days to settle down..

I'm just letting the water run through without any media. I did try shaking the canister abit but, no improvement. Oh well, I'm still new so I should expect these things to happen.

Thanks alot for your advice.

Check you holes connection to make sure all's tight cos if got small gap, can create a venturi effect and suck in air.

Thought you trying to get rid of bubble, so if I come and blow bubbles then you can just use the canister ma!! he he

Bro, I was trying to get rid of the air pocket.....not bubbles .

..and pple say I'm the silly cow. Moo moo!!

Anyway have checked the connections, seems water tight (wanted to say " seems 'air tight' " but after you get confused again with 'air' and 'bubbles' and you too became confirm 'silly cow').

Thanks again.
