Plate Coral

I have a plate coral (normal green type) in my tank for a few months now. But recently a friend of mine said it's not plate coral but a flowerpot. May I know whether are they same or related?

according to eric borneman, a flowerpot coral is a common name for Goniopora.

A plate coral is different. it looks like the one in the pic

plate corals=fungia or heliofungia. The one in the pic is heliofungia

flowerpot corals= gioniopora sp.

Aha! Prove my friend wrong. Mine is the long-tenticled green plate coral, like Deepblue's attached pix. Not flowerpot coral. Thanks guys...
