Can I drive 2x24W T5 with a 2x36W ballast?

Found a ultra lightweight Phillips ballast as above. It's perfect for my Diy set, but they don't have the 24W version.

Can I use it for 24W T5 ?

Yes, several reefers have tried it before but they comment that the tubes will be much hotter and spectrum shift is 1/2 of the 18 months if used on a 24w ballast.

Thanks. After knowing the reduction of tube life by 50%, I've decided to just use the appropriate ballast respectively.
