Should I supplement a 150W 14K MH pendant with T5?

Although MH is full spectrum and is able to grow corals, it is not able to bring out the best colors of corals. If you are using 14k, I would suggest Gisemann Actinic Plus and Aqua Pink.

Hi, I'm getting a 150w 14k pendant set.

My tank is 2'x2'x1.5'(H).

I'm thinking of supplementing with 2x24w T5 blue/actinic tubes.

Is it necessary to add T5? If so, what's the ideal 2 colours?

Yup for mh, normally people on on for 4-6hrs, so the rest of the time better to supplement with T5, for me I will go for ATI blueplus as the par value is quite high and coral look nice under blue light.

5x2.5x1.5ft Rimless Dream Tank (06/03/12)
Skimmer - Reefoctupus

Return Pump - 1 x Eheim 1264, 1 x water blaster 7k

Chiller - Daikin compressor with coil drop in
Lighting - 4 x 80w T5 Pair 1(6hrs23/12/12),Pair 2(16/06/12312hrs 2 x 80w De-lighting Retrofit (1/3/12) -(15/11/12)6hrs and 2 x 80w De-lighting Retrofit (13/10/12) -6hrs)

Kay, care to share why switching to halides from leds? quite interested to know from your side coz nowadays, there are also fellow bros that return back to T5 or halide after using l.ed.

Well it's quite simple. I'm just not willing to spend a good couple of hundreds on a proven set of good LED.

My current cheap LEDs are just 60W in total.

I can't even hold the colours of my zoas properly. But this is not a fair testimonial for LEDs. There are many good LED sets available in the market, it's just that the initial hardware investment puts me off.
