Acro having this short web thingy

About 2 weeks back, i discovered this really short web like thingy sticking out at the end of my acro . Sorry, i can't get a clear shot of it with my DC. It's gone now and the acro is extended . Does anyone know what happened. Been searching around the net but can't find anything revelant to this. Thanks.

I doubt it's slime. It has been there for bout 2weeks. From what i observed, the acro grew. Could it been building itself up? It's been in my tank for close to 3months and it's begining to colour up.

There is a worm resiting in your acro. These worms will spill out a web to capture food. very common for Fiji type of SPS.

Do arcos excrete silky web like slime when they build up or grow?

yes they do. esp the tip area.

they break easiy too.

Yahyah! It's tip tip area! That's the area where this web thingys appear. Sorry, just gone into sps for a couple of months. Still trying to understand the complexity of their nature. Esp, how to "predict" the colour when buying them. Really have to do more read up and irritate you guys more. Haha.
