SRC Member nicreef Posted March 4, 2013 SRC Member Share Posted March 4, 2013 hi, i just got this hammer head from the lfs last thurs (28/02). 2 of the head is opening up nicely but 1 of it did not. i thought it needed time but today, the head turned kind of jellish brown (attached photo) is it dead? if so what should i do? leave it or cut it off? rudy17 Posted March 4, 2013 Share Posted March 4, 2013 i've got the same issue the last time i had the hammer coral. Its the brown jelly disease. Try dipping it in iodine solution every day and have high flow.. (doesn't work for me) i cut mine off in the end cos these things spread. Quote Moorish Idol has to be the most beautiful fish ever!
