API nitrate test kit faulty?

Hey fellas.. i have 2 API nitrate test kit (1 bought few months ago, another 1 bought from another reefer as a package with other test kits).

Today is my first time using both to test together to see the accuracy and to my surprise.. first kit gave me 5ppm, while the 2nd gave me 20ppm..

I re-did the test a total of 3 times and all 3 results are the same.. i then tested the 2 kits on my tap water and both shows 0ppm..

is there anyway to judge which one is faulty?
