Need help regarding DSB in display tanks

Recommended Posts

Hi to all bros and sis:

I have just bought over a fellow bros 4 ft set up..However i discovered that the previosu owner slump is design in such a way that the dsb cannot be placed in the slump. CAn i place the DSB in the display tank? How deep should it be? I have a combination of grade 0 and 1 sand ..is that ok...?

If the DSB is place in the display tank can i follow the previous owner method of placing coral stones in the refugrim.... and cultivate the mirco algae on top...

Thanks all for the help....

Regards

1. There is no such thing as a slump.

I think you mean a SUMP. ;)

DSBs SHOULD be in the main tank and not in the usual tiny sump.

A mixture of grade 1 & O is fine.

Don't use coral chips as they tend to trap a lot of detritus.
