Do I need to put reactor output into skimmer intake?

That's the instruction according to the manual. I tried either way and not much difference. I think it is trying to prevent you from having bacteria bloom by skimming out the excess bacteria.

just fyi. if you are starting brand new do follow instructions and add a little at a time. i tried dumping 500ml straight for my 3x2x2 and the bacteria growth on my tank was accelerated. its a white stringy thing appearing everywhere...the rocks the sand the tank u name it its there. once i switched off the reactor they stopped growing. so well....
