Tail rot

i have a fish that have tail rot. is it spreadable like the Ich? i wonder how to cure it sucessfuly? can anyone help me? my fish tail already shorten.today he nver eat when i put some shrimp , but he got "chew or taste at the rock like he eating the rock particles . he saw the shrimp, but never eat .Help . i try garlic juice, but no avail. today only started not to eat , but tail rot was on 21 feb 04 .

What's the water parameters like?

Sounds like you may have ammonia present in the water which can cause the fish tail to rot.

my amoonia is 0mg . but nitrate is 0.3mg . KH is 9
