tank setup question

i have a 4x1.5x1.5(67gallon) lying around. thinking of putting in 30kg of sand(more for aesthetic purpose), and about 50-60kg of liverocks, a prizm skimmer, and a few powerheads for circulation. there wont be external mechanical filtration or sump. all filtration will be by the liverocks and prizm. any forseeable problems that will cause it not to work? will be adding some polyfilter and chemipure as well.

Where will you be putting your polyfilter if you dunn have any other source of filtration?

possibly put the polyfilter and chemipure in one of those floating betta container and stick it at the back of the tank. and then direct a powerhead to flow throw it.

Forget about the prizm - its not good enough for a tank the size you have.

Cannister is not really a good bio-filtration system..

Perhaps I should offer suggestions too - purchase one of those cut throat ones sold locally or buy online from overseas suppliers. You do get a lot more choices, but make sure you can get the right pump locally to drive it.

i would like an external skimmer. which skimmer is good enough for 67gallon, pnp and most important, low cost.

actually im using the prizm on my 2ft. skims brown liquid

Without a sump - I really don't know. If I'm you, I would go to www.marinedepot.com and pick one up They offer free shipping within the US if you purchase above US$150. Now all you need is to get someone to bring it back for you .... this is what I've been doing ....
