How to Remove Corceas Clam Safely

Hi !

I have two Croceas Clams...after a few months, they shifted from their original small flat piece of stone and move towards each other. Eventually, both clams were side-by-side. With its base stuck on a large piece of LR.

I am think of removing one of them and place it else where. But I need some advise from experts on how to remove them safely, without damaging the "flesh".

You can only safely remove it if you can see and cut the byssal threads of the clam.

Here is a photo of what byssal threads look like. NEVER CUT THE FLESH!!! Just the threads. Use a sharp pen knife and slice from nearer the rock surface. And never dig or pry or force.

Problem is ....I can't even see the "thread"...as they stuck on the LR like super glue....I tried to lift it up...but I could feel its strong resistance force. I am worried I may tore its flesh.

Any "plan B" to advise me ?

Use a chisle to break the rock to smaller pieces?
