harvin6
Well you can't run away from algae all tank must go thru it whether it's now or later. Ppl don't run their lights during cycle is because no reason to. So it's up to you . Just prepare for proper way to remove your po4 no3 and silicates if you don't want algae.Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
mao ng
Cycling with lights or not will not have any implication. I didnt switch on mine while cycling but mainly because i was saving for that bloodu expensive light. But honestly there is no get away from diatom, part and parcel of Marine life. Just make sure you keep the nutrients in check den u will have less algae problemSent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
SRC Member Indeco Posted May 14, 2018 Author SRC Member Share Posted May 14, 2018 Thx bros for the advice, will take note of it I planning to use refugium in the sump to compete the nutrients in the main tank hopefully can reduce the outbreak... Once cycle is completed will do WC and then put Rowaphos in to see whether help or not...

SRC Member Indeco Posted November 4, 2018 Author SRC Member Share Posted November 4, 2018 How long must wait before putting fish in? Sorry newbie here Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app Better to complete the cycle then put fish in. You can dose bacteria daily to speed up a bit. zeren
I was done in 10days (process 2ppm ammonia in 24hrs and 0 nitrite) but went slow on stocking to prevent any spikes.
