Hi .. Can someone tell me some info about Weipro SA2013 skimmer?

(1) Capacity of Tank it can handle? (ie: 500 liters...)

(2) What is the pump size to match? (ie: 1800 liter/hrs...)

I am given the skimmer by a friend but have no information nor instruction about it...

need help.. Thanks !! :ooh:

HI!!

Box says tank size 125 Gal, pump needed 500GAL/H (2000L/H) and pressure 7ft (210cm).

Personally having trouble running is a efficiently as its reputation goes.

Anyone has specific pump models that work well with it?

I tried:

- Ocean Free power head 2200L/H and 195cm -Not good, too weak as expected

- Atman 105 3000L/H and 300cm - Even worse??? not good... but not optimal setup.

have cleaned the setup and will try again with the atman in good conditions. let's see what...

Go for a good german or japan pump with actual flowrate of 2500l/hr - 3000l/hr and not those cheapo overrated china pump.........a huge differences in the quantity and sizes of bubbles IMO.

Yup Eric...

I think no choice!! Cheap price= cheap quality...

As I say, I'll just give it one last try. but it's amazing: the atman would be at least 50% overrated!

thanks again man

It's ok to go wrong with a cheapo atman, but if you buy a pump worth 5 times the price, you wanna get it right. I'm ready to invest in a more expensive pump, but I must be sure it has done its proof before.

That's why it would be nice if felow reefers would share their experience and exact pump models & brand they have been satisfied with.

Thanks!!

I uses Sicce Extrema 800-2400l/hr ($75) 1yr warranty 35W - Petmart for my 2012.

This pump have 4 adjustable flowrate setting to suit different water density for your skimmer.

Eric,

where you get your Sicce Extrema 800-2400l/hr at $75 (1yr warranty).

only 35watts ?? ...

i am thinking of using my 2 existing pumps as combination. one 1600l/hr (18watts) and one 800 /hr (12watts) connected to a Y joint providing total flowrate to the skimmer... any comment?

It wont make a big different in flowrate even if you coupled the two pumps together, save the space, heat and electricity, go for one good pump........I got the Sicce Extrema from petmart.
