SRC Member keirra1988 Posted September 22, 2020 SRC Member Share Posted September 22, 2020 Hi all Decided to get myself into the salty hobby recently and got myself the Ocean free 63L nano tank I was wondering is a wavemaker needed for this tank or is the flow from the IOS filter sufficient? SRC Member Tabungrahim Posted September 22, 2020 SRC Member Share Posted September 22, 2020 U can change the pump to stronger ones. Then u buy random flow generator.U dont need wavemaker already when u have this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
SRC Member Evolutionz Posted September 22, 2020 SRC Member Share Posted September 22, 2020 a small RW-4/OW-4/SLW-10 wavemaker from jebao should work well in your tank. Ahh I was also looking at the jebao slw 10 but I was worried it might be too strong for the tank

Also pulse mode tend to be more 'gentle' on corals rather than straight on standard mode. SRC Member noobhobbyist Posted November 7, 2020 SRC Member Share Posted November 7, 2020 Hmmm I was worried that a stronger pump won’t be able to fit into the small space behind from the IOSI think should be ok Depending on the size of the RFG, for 63L u should be going for the smallest RFG which only require appx 300-400L/H for the random effect.I’m using it for my 50L nano tank too lol...https://vividcreativeaquatics.com/shop/1-4in-random-flow-generator-for-fluval-spec-v-rfg025-fsv/Cheers~Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
