is star fish reef save?

is it save to have star fish in a tank with anemone, button polyp, and other LPS?

coz i notice sometines they like to craw OVER the buttons, sometimes even rest on top of my button

will star fish harm to them? pls advise

"knobby" stars such as chocolate chips stars are not, the rest most are likely to be ok (fromia, linckia, sand-sifting, serpent, brittle and etc)

I have an iconester that like to climb all over the place but so far it is not a problem.

From what I read about, this sort of stars are eating machine, and need to eat a lot or not they will starve to death, can't recommend exactly how much to feed, but I guess can feed them every day a piece of meat about 1/3 their stomach size. Experts out there correct me if I am wrong.

Actually, you cannot be too sure but the Linkia species should do fine

only bad thing about them is that they grow too big
