I used to have 2 , the pale one is still around after 3 - 4 months....opens up very big everyday...just give pytoplankton

The bright green ones......no success...heard pple telling me they usually dies in matter of days or weeks, something to do with collection method...it turns out mine really died within a week.....wasted a lot of money....

Cant say i've ever had a problem to keep. Biggest problem i know is that the flesh tends to detach from the skeleton over time. This tends to be common in non sps/hard coral tanks that tend to run at lower calcium levels.

I can suggest the following:

Place on sand

Good flow

Weekly or monthly feeding with pieces of shrimp

Strong lighting

Optimum Ca levels

Hope it helps

I have 3.....but 2 got damaged and rotted away when I redo my tank recently.

The last one now is about 4 months old already and still looking very good, good expansion and there is no receeding of the flesh.

IMO to keep them you have

To maintain good water quality.....seem to be more sensitive than normal LPS.

Keep the temperature below 29C or lower...does not like higher and will not last if cannot maintain the temp

Regular feeding with shrimp meat....feed mine every other day

See what I mean....the more expensive piece, though nicer...never made it.....on the other hand..........the cheaper lighter green last longer....slowly grew to like it
