Its probably some detritus or precipitation may be happening in your tank

But if you tame me, we shall need each other.

To me, you will be unique in all the world.

To you, I shall be unique in all the world...

You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed.

,Nov 21 2004, 08:10 PM] All my fishes and corals are okay.

Water perimeter -

cal = 500

alk = 7.4

mag = 1440

po4 = 0.03

ammonia = 0

no2 = 0

no3 = 2

:(

Are you using Rowaphos or carbon ?

I had this problem twice before.

1. Carbon bleach. After take out and replace new one. Nextday is ok.

2. Second incident, May be due to Rowaphos. After shut down FR, water cleared up the next day.

I replace with new rowaphos, no problem.

bacteria bloom?

This is possible.

My tank was matured and suddenlly can get cloidy too.

What I heard was bacteria bloom too.

After changing carbon, water clear up the next day.

The second incident, is on my new tank.

After I turn off the FR, water clear up soon after.

Hi ,

This is my experience. (Sat morning 20Nov woke up and saw tank cloudy Sat evening sat evening start dosing KENT Marine Pro clear) but stop adding any addititive during 2 days.

Could be what some reefer mentioned here. Baterica bloom.

What I did to change 20% water no sign of improvement after 6hrs on Sat morning

Went to get KENT Marine Pro clear - marine clarifier dose double usage according to content instructionon Sat evening

after 24hrs settle down tank water became clear again

I dun used what others reefers mentioned like FR or using Rowaphos /Carbon.

suspect Baterica bloom. Likely cause by I overdose DT for couples of days continuiosly.

cheers

Moxa
