by using the return this way.. the flowrate might be too fast for your chiller...

on the other hand, if u use a lower flowrate pump to suit the chiller, the turnover rate for your tank is too low.. therefore not suitable to use a return pump straight to chiller then to tank

Suggest that you get a dedicated pump for your Chiller as it doesn't make sense to save that last mile ..
