Hi, i just started my 2*1*1.5 marine tank few weeks ago....

As i am planning to slowly setup this tank, i haven buy any test kits yet and just letting the tank cycle....

However, i am experiencing algae problem after few weeks... Is this normal?

Will the algae eventually die out? And oso will the algae still be around when i haven fully cycled the tank and wants to add in LS and corals????

Any advices??? By the way the algae are green in color and few milimetres in length after few weeks... They are growing on the LR oso...

give us a picture... we can ID it better...

one of my master once told me....

"Go high up in the mountains... practise yr qi.... control yr breathing... meditate till the cows come home.... oh yah.. algae problem ah.... damn easy lah.... juz wait for your algae to die off naturally on its own... when they absord all the NO3 in the tank!!!"

personally... i juz plucked all the damn stuff out of my tank... those leafy ones....

seriously... my tank looked like planted tank frm far!!!!!!
