SRC Member moxa Posted January 23, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted January 23, 2005 that's to high if you have up to 33. Is it every day even is at a cooling nite? wat's is the highest temp before you use the skimmer. by right it will add the mose 1-2 degree in different. u better add in a fan to cool down the temp. but top up will have to do it reguarly. However if the top up is really big vol, parameter of water fluctuated and will be not good for the fishes and coral. cheers Moxa

Hi Bro, Not so about Macro tuning but as for the temp. If the pump feels hot upon touching, I think you better do something about it. And as for the pump, what is the distance from the water level ? should we count from the pump motor or pump intake ? thanks a mil Quote [ My Humble Home]

Gouldian
yea goldian, i think its too hot what pump did u say i should replace it with ? i got a dolphin 600 ...hehe u think it can be used ? Change the culprit loh. Go for Eheim, Aquabee, Oceanrunner, Sicce or the Rio HF. Eheim: Reliable but big and pricey Aquabee: Realiable, smaller that Eheim but pricey Oceanrunner: Realiable but big ans super pricey SICCE: So so performance but small and affordable RIO HyperFlow: So so performance but smal and affordable Check out the flowrate than get the correct flowrate to match your skimmer. Rest assured that the above models are quite accurate with their rating. I ever encounter a Atman 3000l when compared to the Rio HF 2700l the Rio pumps out maore water - talk about over-rating!
