Cycling Tank

Hi reefers,

Really need help. Bought some life rocks from fellow reefers here. The rocks has been in my tank for the past two weeks and I have not noticed any skimate in the skimmer.

Read from other websites that I do not have to go through the cycling process since my life rocks are already cured in other reefers' tank. Do I still need to cycle the tank with market prawn or can I just add LS into the tank immediately.

I have not tested for ammonia yet but intend to do so within the next few days.

What skimmer is that???? Got any pix of your tank? What are the water parameters?

The skimmer is a Sander WT 350. I am Pictures attached but I do not have any parameteres yet. Will measure ammonia, nitrite and nitrate tonight.

You can try to adjust the water level until it is just below the collection cup. Might aid in the forming of bubbles..

it's still betta to cycle ur tank.... u dunno whether the available bacteria can support ur bioload later on....

if it's enuff, u will definitely get faster cyclin... so betta not take the risk
