Background

please give me some advice whether is good to use foam type rock background. Will the colour fade after long use in marine tank? I am recently upgrading from 2 feet tank to 3 feet. should I move all the filter material to the new tank or use the new one. I would like to cycle my tank fast.

I would suggest that u take some of your "old sand" to kick start yr new tank. Much faster than starting from ground zero. Also think not to use those form background lah .. not so natural looking than liverocks

I saw in Hawa** MA**** that they use silicone gel to glue that sand onto the glass as background and side, after dripping kalwasser for a while....the pinkish algae starts to grow along the wall.....nice

foam rocksculpts does not last......

Thanks Dazza & DeepBlue for your help. I have asked Hawa** MA**** about the background. They say that the sand is spray into the glass tank during the assemble of the tank. My friend is previously in this business

juz add a blue/green piece of paper behind the tank lorz...

i personally dun haf no tank background...

i really hope that some coralline alage would grow on the back of my tank.... not elsewhere...
