Hi Bro & sis out there,

Just something to share. If you are interested in self-defence or martial art. There a good news that there will be a Hapkido Demonstration and Training seminar on 20th Aug at Nanyang Academy of fine Arts Campus 1 and 21st Aug at CKKS Training centre at Tanjong Katong Rd.

This seminar & coaching will be from the Korea Hapkido Grandmaster Choi of Cheong Kyum Kwan Korea togehter with his 3 Masters from Korea too. To my understanding, this is the 1st time in Singapore history that the Korea Grandmaster personally coming to Singapore to give the coaching. Is ready a great opportunity for self-defence/martial learner or want to know more about Hapkido.

i was into aikido sometime back. quited due to some time factors.

Hi law,

I just joint them few mths back as Cheong Kyum Kwan Singapore just newly set up in Singapore this year and is only place in Singapore that teaches Ki Hapkido. Cheong Kyum Kwan in Korea are very well recon. and the grand Masters himself is also the Korea Hapkido Federation National Demonstration Team member. Saw their demo in video, dam good! He is also the instructors for some world amry special forces. FYI, my current coach are also the formal S.T.A.R. team unit. He left the force 2 years back and started teaching self defence and now into this afer he got the Master level from Korea. As for the diff. between Japan Akido & Korea Hapkido, well Hapikdo are the brothers art from Aikido, only that Korean modi. the art and become the modern combat skill used in most of the world army special forces. Hapkido is an extremely effective and practical form of self-defence. It is suitable for anyone, young or old, men and women to practice this art, regardless of physical weight and strength.
