I have a JBJ 24gallon Nano tank. I have corals and live rock. Temperature is about 29.5 - 33 deg C.

Need to put in a chiller but I don't want any messy tubes. Anyone can help me recommend a solution? Ice probe can? Or buy Chiller? How to fix, please.

which model is your 24G? the DX model with 2x36W PL with moonlights?

anyway, you can add another 2 cpu fans into the hood to cool things down.

like this bro here

http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.php?...topic=53179&hl=

my 24G has 4x36PL and 5 fans.

4 fans in the hood and 1 fan attached to the back of the hood blowing into it.

i cut 2 rectangular openings in the back of the light hood near the 2 hinges. attached 1 fan to blow into one of the openings and the hot air will flow out of the other opening.

with this, my tank never goes above 30C with 144W PL.

temp ranges from 27.5-29.5. pretty good considering it's in my study that gets the afternoon sun and windows hardly open (staying ground floor).

i top-up about 1L every 3 days though.

ice-probe - wouldn't fit unless you drill the tank.

chiller - possible, need to cut the hood to accomodate the pipings.

fans - easier and cheaper

Thanks! Mine is the one with Moonlights. Temp goes up when i switch on the PL lights. If I don't switch on, then corals in trouble. Switch on then temp goes up. Do you think the pipes can fit in the 2 holes behind in the hood if I use chiller?

the 2 holes are for wires to come out of the hood cleanly. suggest you cut another 2 openings for the pipings.

then you can explore using a sump. chiller can be hooked to the sump, then can add nice skimmer too... wah the possibilties !

how about using an ibox for overflow?
