macro as150

i having a problem with my as150.. it juz keep overflowing to my collection cup...

especially when i top up water or feed live plankton to the tank. i even adjust the red knot but it still doesn't work...

what should i do??

need some advise from experince reefer using as150 or experince with as150

either you over tune the skimmer or u add so additive that

make it overskim...

yes, i have previously encountered the same problem.

i overcome it by ensuring that the pump is nearer the water surface instead of "sinking" it at the bottom of the tank.

e water level should be ard 10cm above e needlewheel pump.

tune e red knob until e water level in e skimmer is at e base of e neck.

i have been dosing plankton with e above settings and it never flood my collection cup. most of e time it will end up with some green watery skimmate.

btw, if i m not wrong...it is better to off e skimmer for ard 1-2hrs if u r dosing plankton. this will prevent it from skimming out e plankton which is meant for ur corals to 'eat'.
