Moonlight neccessary?

Recommended Posts

Moonlight will enable ur fishes to orientate itself better at night and can also encourage spawning activities for some noctural corals... if u ask me... add in lah! Unless u have other restrictions. I've been using a light sensor controlled single LED for my nano and the effect is nice at night

Hi,

I modified the earlier version 24g Nanocube with ultra bright blue LED's.

Have it auto switch based on a timer from main, to 6 leds to 3leds progressively.

As jervismun mentioned my fish seem to like it allowing them to orient themselves where ever they feel comfy.

Also lets my Longnose Hawkfish hunt around better.

I have attached a image during the 6 led phase, the next auto step to the 3 led is much softer.

Not sure how to imbed a pic directly here as it requires a URL, so I will attach a smaller version.

Hope this helps Reef on.
