Hi guys...!!!

Need your expert advises....

I've got 02 Eheim 2217 for my 4 feet tank.

01 of them, I should say that the pump is making alot of noise...

I mean like cranking, can hear the propeller working... I have checked the

propeller, everything is ok....

The question is...

Can I have 1st canister, draw water from tank, goes through the 1st pump

and the outlet goes into the 2nd canister via the inlet and water is pumped

into the tank after the saltwater have been processed by these 02 canisters.

I only want to used power for the 1st tank and the power for the

2nd filter will be permanently shut off (as the pump is faulty)

Can these ideas of mine workable....?

Many ppl have linked 2 cannister together with only one drawing the water.... but there will be alot of headloss. In other words... the filters may not be cycling the water fast enough. Always aim for between 5-10 times the water volume per hour. What are u planning to put into the cannister? Filter wool? Those are nitrate factories. Can use them as a FR instead and put in carbon etc. Why not change to a sump instead?

      Never buy them wet esp from LFS (If it's fellow hobbyist unless u trust the seller got nothing bad in his tank) N don't buy those mass manufactured branching ones for placing corals. Get from Skytrain the dried out ones. Sent from my M2012K11AG using Tapatalk
