SRC Member andylee Posted June 26, 2006 SRC Member Share Posted June 26, 2006 Finally, after 1+ year in this hobby.. decided to start my own tank thread to chronicle the on-goings for my final project. Started with a 1ft, then 2ft, and now lastly, 3ft which I've decided shall be the most I'll go.. at least for the next 7 years This 3 footer was started exactly 1 month ago, with most equipments from fellow reefers here. SRC Member andylee Posted June 26, 2006 Author SRC Member Share Posted June 26, 2006 The tank's height is too high and width too narrow for it to be against the wall, tot this arrangement might have a better effect visually Using salt mix, NSW too heavy to bring back without transport. Already had one BTA perished just the day after i added in the seio. Lights-wise shld be no problem, cos keeping mainly fish n invert. And the BTAs with me since the 1ft tank, still doing fine (same state as when bought). SRC Member andylee Posted June 28, 2006 Author SRC Member Share Posted June 28, 2006 Ya, purposely left alot of flat surfaces so that can put corals in future. Now still not very confident of keeping lps. Maybe will get more suns to fill up the tower, as they dun require intense lighting. jervismun
One amazing thing about Zoos is its ability to change colour according to the tnk environment... sometimes a normal looking colony can develop rather interesting colours... and of course there are cases some exceptionally intense colouration will just fade off... if those Zoos found in RB is acceptable... bring home and try... you'll never know what Gem lies beneath it Quote Tank 60x40x40 Optiwhite Glass Tank Sump Elos 500 w/ Tunze Overflow Protein Skimmer Skimz Kone SK1 Return Pump Hydor Seltz L30 Wavemaker Hydor K1 Illumination 150W + 2 T5 Chiller Arctica 1/5hp w/ Aquabee 1000 Water Top-up Tunze Osmolator Dosing Pumps Grotech 3-Channels Calcium Reactor Deltec PF 501 Computer Aquatronica
