Skimmer Recommendation

anyone has strong recommendation for protein skimmer ? My budget less than $100 for 2ft tank. those $25 ORCA type are too long for my 2ft tank. If possible, small in size would be ideal. thanks.

i just got one for my bro, a very good one at Keong Siong Havelock at $79.

for myself, i'm using at $40 one (small) which i got from Lor Halus.

me and my bro both are 2feet tank.

thanks BB, I've seen the $79 skimmer but wonder if it's worth it. No complains so far ? How often do you have to clear the bubble cup ?

got mine at Keong Siong Havelock for $12, run by air pump. The lenght is 4" longer as my tank is only 12" height. just gut it with pen knife.... not bad from what i heard from my collegue who is using it for 2 months + liao......

Achilles, they are just hung on the 2ft inside.

BB, how long is the larger sanders? I might get one for my 2ft reef but the tiny one maybe for the mandarin tank. I don't want it to take out too much stuff and baby pods from there.

the big one i not sure how tall is it, it's in my bro's tank and his tank is 18" tall. actually i can be used on my normal 2feet tank but my tank got no space at the opening to put the large skimmer. if i am to use that large skimmer, my water level will have to be much lower.

frankly i think the big one is very worth, very good construction, very good plastic even compare with my $40 one.

one more thing, the big one, the cup of the skimmer is more easily remove. and also more adjustment can be made to the skimmer.

thanks, bb. I will be getting the smaller one. The larger one is too tall, my tank only 30 cm tall.
